In relation to his summer exit from Tottenham Hotspur, Brazilian forward Lucas Moura spoke today.

One of the many inquiries made to the So Paulo player during his interview with ESPN Brazil concerned his final season with the London club.

When asked about his final season at Tottenham, Moura acknowledged that it had not been spectacular. He insisted that he will always cherish his memories of the club, despite his strong affinity for it.

Actually, the year was quite complicated. It was a challenging year for me in particular because there weren’t many opportunities. Additionally, a game-ending injury forced me to miss a few others. Additionally, the group as a whole was not particularly strong, according to Lucas Moura, speaking to ESPN Brazil.

The team’s performance was below par. The targets we set at the start of the season were not met. For any European competition, we were not successful in qualifying. Additionally, it wasn’t how I had envisioned my time at Tottenham to conclude. I have a great deal of affection for this club because it was there that I had amazing encounters.

But I haven’t been able to play much during the past year, regrettably. What is a part of… that occurs in the lives of many players. And that’s it. I’m quite grateful for everything I experienced there, including my time living there. Now that I’m in a new phase of my life, I have a great deal of love for all of the staff.

At the end of his contract this summer, Lucas Moura left Tottenham. Despite numerous rumors to the contrary, he chose to return to Brazil and settle in So Paulo despite his stated preference to remain in Europe.

His stint with the club has been fantastic thus far, despite only signing a six-month contract. He was the hero of his team’s advancement to the final last week in the Copa do Brasil semifinals after scoring a goal in the derby against Corinthians.

Although he may just spend a little period of time at the club during this period, he is already on the verge of accomplishing great things there because So Paulo lacks that title.
