Tottenham injury update: Ange Postecoglou’s team will visit the south coast this weekend with six men on the field.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, anticipates missing at least four of his players for the match against Bournemouth this weekend at the Vitality Stadium.

Every fan will be wondering whether James Maddison, the club’s high-profile summer acquisition, will be able to play against the Cherries after suffering an injury scare during Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Manchester United the previous weekend.

The celebrity was seen leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with crutches and a protective boot on, but the 26-year-old himself informed the press that it was just a precaution and that there is a very good chance that the injury will only be minor.

Postecoglou will be keen for Maddison to be fit in order to maintain the wonderful run of form to open the season after he already made his club debut against Brentford and contributed with two assists.

Maddison will undergo a scan to determine if the injury is as bad as initially believed, according to a story from The Athletic earlier this week, although the scan’s results have not yet been made public.

As he continues to recover from the long-term knee injury he sustained toward the end of last season, midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur will also be absent for Tottenham this weekend. However, center back Cristian Romero, who sustained a head injury and concussion on the opening weekend, should be able to play another full 90 minutes.

In addition to Bryan Gil, who is still recovering from a groin strain, Ryan Sessegnon is also out from the first team due to a hamstring problem.

Additionally, young players Troy Parrot and Alfie Whiteman will miss the match against Bournemouth while Tanguy Ndombele, who sustained an injury during preseason, is also sidelined.
