Before the transfer deadline on Friday, Tanguy Ndombele of Tottenham Hotspur is allegedly interested in joining a Champions League team.
Under Ange Postecoglou, the French player has no future at Spurs. His teammates in North London are prepared to let him go and have even accepted a bid from Genoa.
Ndombele has other ideas, though, as Di Marzio shows.
Tanguy Ndombele wants to leave Tottenham for a Champions League club
Tanguy Ndombele was acquired by Tottenham in 2019 for a club-record sum from Lyon.
Everyone thought Spurs had acquired a “magnificent” talent when they signed the Frenchman, who was one of the most intriguing young players in Europe at the time.
Ndombele’s time at Tottenham hasn’t been successful, though, and Postecoglou, the only manager who could have given him an opportunity to revive his career, doesn’t care for him either.

TBR View:
Every player aspires to compete in the Champions League, so it’s hard to blame Ndombele for feeling the same way at the moment.
The Frenchman’s chances of signing with a Champions League team in one of Europe’s top five leagues before the transfer market closes on Friday are exceedingly slim.
The only team that can likely provide Ndombele Champions League football is Galatasaray, and they may still be a possibility. Galatasaray has been linked with a bid for Ndombele.
Spurs might have to keep using him through January, though, if nothing happens in the next two days.
