Latest Tottenham injury news with 5 doubts vs Liverpool amid Brennan Johnson and Maddison update

Ange Postecoglou was concerned about Brennan Johnson due to the injury news from Tottenham during the North London Derby versus Arsenal.

As they went to the Emirates Stadium and attacked Arsenal on their own turf with a recklessness rarely seen in the match for quite some time, Tottenham showed that they are still a team that plays freely and with confidence. It looks like there’s still a lot more to come with a young bunch and a happy management.

Because teams, fans, and commentators are all aware of how good Spurs are, there will be some more pressure on them going forward. There are countless encouraging feelings ahead of the arrival of Liverpool in north London the following week, which will be another significant test.

The club has undergone transition in the last four months, thanks to Ange Postecoglou himself, a young spine, and a revitalized support. They’ll probably only get more powerful now. Son Heung-Min is being used by Tottenham as their primary striker because they are currently playing without a more established player.

Still, there are players on their bench who are not intended to be long-term contributors, and depth has been a concern up until now. Although the fall and winter activities have not yet been fully utilized or tested, they don’t cease once they begin. It’s simply not a problem at the moment.

Spurs are almost fully healthy and only have a few minor injuries to attend to before playing Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.Brennan Johnson, though, is the subject of fresh concern following his first match for the team following his transfer from Nottingham Forest on deadline day.

Due to an ankle injury sustained at the close of the previous season, the Welshman missed the most of preseason for his former team. Manor Solomon was sent on to replace him in the second half after the Spurs physio stretched his left leg on the field.

After the game, Postecoglou remarked, “I’m not sure with Brennan, it seems like he felt something, I think his hamstring.” “We’ll review that. Despite not being at full strength prior to the game, Madders (Maddison) and Sonny (Son) managed to finish, suggesting that there was nothing serious.

Giovani Lo Celso, who missed the previous two games with a knock, might play in this game.”[Lo Celso] won’t be open this weekend. We’re going to give it another week, but he trained with us yesterday,” Postecoglou stated on Friday before the North London Derby.

Given the strength of the starting XI, there isn’t currently a clear place or need for Lo Celso, but options will be required as the team is stretched with additional responsibilities in the upcoming weeks. Alejo Veliz, a teammate from Argentina, is on the verge of making his maiden senior debut.

Only two of the group’s center forwards are natural, and Veliz has put in a lot of effort to recover from an injury he had when he first joined the team. On Sunday, he was a member of his first matchday squad and may now be in the running to start contributing, even if it is only from the sidelines.
