He also mentioned United’s ‘awful’ start to the Premier League season, adding that it cannot go on, and that the team needs to be changed if it is to succeed.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “Donny Van de Beek, Scott McTominay, and Jadon Sancho, I would be making it a priority to get them out of the football club at this point, I just don’t see what they’re giving as squad players anymore.

You might say that McTominay could fill that position, but even from McTominay’s perspective, I’m not sure what his personal driving force is right now given that it doesn’t appear as though he will have the chance to even remain on the squad in the long run.

“Erik ten Hag also requires athletes who feel invested in the initiative to join the team right now. This season has gotten off to a poor start, and it can’t continue into the following year.

There are some significant choices to be made, and it’s clear that it has been difficult to sign these players to new teams, at least at the prices at which they have been holding out.

Must the aforementioned players be sold?

Sancho and Van De Beek are both incredibly good football players who still have a lot of time remaining in their individual playing careers, but it seems as though their time at United has come to an end.

While it is now evident that Van De Beek will not receive a fair share of playing time at Old Trafford, even under the guidance of a fellow Dutchman, Sancho’s relationship with Ten Hag has come to an unsustainable point.

McTominay’s position is a little less clear. He has struggled over the course of the current season, with his defensive irresponsibilities highlighted – but his last-minute brace against Brentford has seen his stock rise somewhat.
