Vandals do “£100,000 damage” at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; one person is detained.
The North London club has announced that one person has been placed under arrest in connection with an incident that happened on Monday evening.
The north London team has stated that someone has been taken into custody for allegedly inflicting “criminal damage” to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this week.
The stadium, which debuted in 2019, was the subject of an attack on Monday night, with possible six-figure damages.
Spurs released a statement on Saturday saying, “We can confirm that an individual was arrested for criminal damage following an incident that took place on Monday night.”
Tottenham said that there was evidence connecting the vandalism to anti-Semitism, despite the club’s longstanding ties to the Jewish community.
“There is no indication that this incident is linked to anti-Semitism,” they said.
The next event to take place at the ground is an NFL game on Sunday between the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens.

After the international break, Tottenham will return to action on Monday, October 23, when they play Fulham in north London.
At a cost of £1.2 billion, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was constructed with a capacity of 62,850.
The original White Hart Lane, which was demolished at the conclusion of the 2016–17 season, was the location of its 2019 opening.
