In the semi-final matchup between the Springboks and England at the Rugby World Cup 2023, Rassie Erasmus has suggested FIVE potential lineup alterations.

Jacques Nienaber and Erasmus are still surprising and mixing things up. even if there will soon be a Rugby World Cup semifinal.

Rassie has made hints about a number of possible changes, despite the expectation of the majority of the globe that the Boks will only make minor adjustments to the team that defeated France 29-28 in the quarterfinals.

RASSIE HINTS AT FIVE POSSIBLE CHANGES

Finally, Lukhanyo Am returned to the scene. The elite outside center, who was previously ruled out with injury, has not yet played in this year’s Rugby World Cup. However, now that he has traveled to France, it would seem that Nienaber and Rassie can finally offer him some playing time.

The temptation to play Handre Pollard, Faf de Klerk, and Canan Moodie this week instead of Lukhanyo Am exists, Erasmus admitted to SA Rugby. “We are also thinking of a six-two split on the bench,” he added.

In addition, Pollard might start in place of Faf. If it does, it will be the first time the seasoned halfback pair has started together at the championship game this year.

Many SA Rugby supporters would also be excited by the chance of seeing dynamic utility back Moodie play.

SPRINGBOKS SQUAD TO SELECT FROM IS FULLY FIT

Thankfully, Nienaber and Rassie may select from a group that is in top shape.

“All 33 of the players in our team are available, and they are all healthy. We’re interested in seeing what they do as well. We’ll need to make some preparations if they opt for a six-two split.

The sixth potential modification Rassie alluded to is that they are also thinking about adding Kleyn into the mix.

In addition, we have the option of bringing in a strong physical opponent like Jean Kleyn to counter their tall lineout alternatives. We are likely delaying the announcement of our squad by two days because of this,” he continued.
