Plans for a spectacular £800 million new stadium on West Ham’s doorstep cause controversy because the government will ultimately decide.

Considering that the Government will ultimately make the decision, plans for an incredible £800 million new stadium on the doorstep of West Ham have generated outrage.

At the London Stadium, most West Ham supporters are beginning to gradually feel more at home.

Seven years have passed since West Ham’s somewhat painful relocation from Upton Park to Stratford, and new matchday customs have grown ingrained.

A lot of people still complain about the distance from the stands to the field, the spaces between the upper and lower levels, the lengthy lines for security checks at the entrance, and the famed stop-go system when leaving. In addition, the club does not, in general, own its own football stadium.

Those who are still dissatisfied point to the aforementioned as evidence that the Hammers ought to have relocated to a stadium designed specifically for football.

Now that a purpose-made arena might be built just outside the club’s door, the neighborhood residents aren’t happy.

Plans for an incredible £800 million new stadium near West Ham have stirred controversy because the Government will ultimately make the decision.

Concerns regarding the construction of a 300-foot-tall sphere in the style of Las Vegas near to the London Stadium have been raised by certain Stratford locals and companies.

Fans of West Ham have undoubtedly seen the enormous sphere constructed in Vegas. In the image above and the video at the bottom of this article, those who haven’t can see it.

If they receive the final approval, the Madison Square Garden Entertainment Company, which is behind it, plans to build a stadium similar to the one close to West Ham’s stadium.

For the next 25 years, animated advertisements are anticipated to fill the 21,500-seat stadium.

Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, and Michael Gove, the secretary for leveling up, have not yet endorsed the suggestions.

However, other locals claim that if plans move forward, they will leave the houses they have lived in for years. Light pollution is identified as a key point of complaint.

Even though West Ham, Westfield, and The Abba Arena already draw sizable numbers to the neighborhood, business owners are expressing their reservations about adding yet another venue.

Plans for the MSG Sphere in Stratford have many residents upset, but they may also affect parking and transit for Hammers supporters.

Ivan Sahagun, the owner of El Cafecito, a tiny coffee shop near Stratford International Station, told The Guardian that he often experiences a surge in business as a result of West Ham games at the London Stadium and visitors to Westfield. He believes that the area and the money should be better utilized.

Lyn Brown, a West Ham MP who opposes the project, has dubbed the sphere “monstrous” and expressed concern about additional strain on local transportation.

The Westfield shopping center, West Ham’s 62,500-seat stadium, and commuters going to and from central London use the fifth busiest train station in the United Kingdom, Stratford.

MSG is requesting permission to utilize up to three storeys of the adjoining Stratford International Car Park, which is used by West Ham supporters who travel to games on matchdays, exclusively for its facility as part of the proposals.

On the Queen Elizabeth Park website’s dedicated planning section, you can find more information about the application and its present standing.
