Ange Postecoglou’s new plan for his starting eleven ahead of Fulham clash after losing most of his star during the International break

Ange Postecoglou suggests he’s going to start £15m Tottenham player vs Fulham now

Postecoglou confirms Hojbjerg as ‘logical replacement’

But it appears that he has already decided on one change for Monday’s match against Fulham.

Before the international break, Yves Bissouma was sent off against Luton Town, and the 27-year-old was forced to play against Marco Silva’s team to serve his suspension.

At today’s pre-game press conference, Postecoglou affirmed that Pierre-Emile Hjbjerg is the obvious Bissouma substitute.

Postecoglou referred to Hojbjerg as a “readymade replacement” and the “logical one to come in” in lieu of Bissouma, the journalist Dan Kilpatrick confirmed on his Twitter page.

Hojbjerg, 28, has played just a supporting role for Tottenham since Postecoglou joined them this summer.

Under the new manager, the Danish international has yet to make a Premier League start, with his lone appearance coming in Monday’s opponents Fulham’s defeat in the Carabao Cup.

After Bissouma was sent off in the win against Luton, he entered the game at halftime. Monday represented a big chance for the former Southampton player.

    Huge opportunity for Hojbjerg

It is crucial that Hojbjerg seizes the chance presented by his anticipated unusual start on Monday night.

It’s safe to assume that Postecoglou does not currently view the Dane as the team’s starting quarterback on a consistent basis, but with Bissouma out, the Dane has an opportunity to convince the manager that he deserves to start.

Despite not getting the playing time he wants, Hojbjerg has been a tremendous servant to the team and a model professional. However, there is no question that Hojbjerg will show off his talent against Fulham on Monday.

Tottenham ‘considering departure’ of player in January – He’s ‘content’ with life at Spurs

Following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, Hugo Lloris was removed from the starting lineup.

This season, the goalie has yet to make an appearance because Guglielmo Vicario is the manager’s first choice. The Italian praises the 36-year-old for greatly assisting him at the north London gym as they work out together.

RMC Sport repeats his remarks before discussing Lloris’ predicament at Tottenham

In the summer window, Spurs tried to get rid of the stopper and he had opportunities to move elsewhere but decided to stay at the Premier League side.

This hasn’t paid off as the Frenchman is currently the third-choice stopper, behind Vicario and Fraser Forster, and despite this, the outlet states he’s ‘content with training’.

Lloris has a deal lasting next summer and with Spurs not counting on him, RMC Sport state they are ‘considering a departure’ for him in January.

It’s not made clear if the former France international would be open to this or if he’ll decide to wait and leave after this season, when he can join another club on a free transfer and collect a signing on bonus.
