Ange Postecoglou confirms defender who suffered a ‘nasty’ blow and will miss out ahead of Palace

Ange Postecoglou affirms that the defender took a “nasty” hit before delivering an unexpected boost in front of Palace

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, has been discussing the players’ form and level of fitness prior to their journey to Selhurst Park.

Manager Ange Postecoglou claims that Tottenham’s Ben Davies, a defender, was only sidelined for the match against Fulham because of a “nasty” knock he took during practice.

The seasoned defender has fallen from favor with the development of Destiny Udogie, who has made the left back position his own in a flowing manner that has helped them ascend to the top of the Premier League. On Friday night, the Lilywhites have the opportunity to go five points ahead if they win all three of their games against Crystal Palace.

Ben Davies is one of the players Ange Postecoglou, the manager, stated he was hoping to have fit. Davies has been a loyal member of the Spurs club through good times and bad. If the Spurs want to challenge for the league title or at least stay in the hunt, they will need depth.

Tottenham defender Ben Davies expects ankle injury to take a 'couple of weeks' | Football News | Sky Sports

He confirmed to media that he was OK prior to tonight’s match against Crystal Palace. The day prior to training, he received a call. Unluckily, he had a serious injury while training. It’s reasonable to remark that our instruction occasionally verges on the brink. Not much of a knock, but it kept him out because it was the day before the game. His training has made him well and prepared for action.

Yet, the Spurs manager acknowledged that while Destiny Udogie was still questionable, midfielder Pape Matar Sarr had fully recovered and should contribute.

Postecoglou went on, “Pape and Destiny are the two main ones from the other night.” Pape is good; he recovered from the game in about twenty-four hours. Despite a brief sickness, he has trained effectively. We are still going to evaluate destiny. It is evident that there has been little change from the previous evening. After taking a look today and assessing the situation, we’ll decide. All other participants have cleared the screening process and are available.
