West Ham predicted line-up vs Brentford: Four big changes as Hammers handed double blow

Predicted starting lineup for West Ham vs. Brentford: Four significant adjustments as the Hammers deal a double blow

The most recent information about the West Ham United squad, injury reports, and expected starting lineup before their Premier League encounter against Brentford.

After a highly assured home performance on Wednesday, West Ham eliminated Arsenal from the Carabao Cup, and they will be ecstatic. Declan Rice, who left the team during the summer transfer window to join the Emirates for £100 million, made a very poor comeback to the London Stadium.

The Irons needed a pick-me moment after going four games without a victory across all competitions. West Ham’s most recent win came against SC Freiburg at the beginning of the month; prior to their triumph over Arsenal, they had also drawn against Newcastle and lost to Aston Villa, Olympiacos, and Everton.

They will have definitely put David Moyes’ team in high gear ahead of their upcoming test this weekend after their performance against Arsenal. In an attempt to spread this winning momentum throughout the Premier League, the Hammers play Brentford on Saturday. Given that West Ham and the Bees are now only one point apart in the table in ninth and tenth place, respectively, it looks like it will be a thrilling match for supporters of the neutral team.

    Suspensions hit West Ham

During their midweek match, West Ham took full advantage of an Arsenal team that appeared lethargic, winning 3-1. The Irons dominated the game until Martin Ødegaard’s late consolation goal. The match’s trajectory was determined by an own goal by Ben White after just 16 minutes. Following that, goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus cemented the win as the Gunners were unable to seriously threaten the West Ham defense.

As the Hammers prepare for Brentford, they should be concerned about the fact that Lucas Paquetá and Edson Álvarez will be absent due to suspension, even though they are fortunate to have no injuries. A one-match ban will be served by the two this weekend after they received their fifth yellow cards of the season, respectively, against Everton.

James Ward-Prowse, who was signed in the summer, will also possibly benefit from another start after his performance against Arsenal advanced his team to the Carabao Cup. Fortunately, Ward-Prowse can step up just fine. Since Saïd Benrahma hasn’t played much in the league this season, now might be his chance to shine.

    West Ham predicted lineup

James Ward-Prowse, Tomáš Souček; Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, Saïd Benrahma; Michail Antonio; Alphonse Aréola; Vladimír Coufal, Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Emerson Palmieri.

After Chelsea’s victory, Brentford is happy.

After defeating Chelsea 2-0, Brentford will go into this weekend’s match. It’s not shocking at all that the Bees took all three points from the Blues considering their performance over the past season and a half. However, Chelsea remains, and this is still a significant win to be proud of on paper. Mauricio Pochettino lost his fourth game of the season as a result of goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbuemo in the second half.

Nonetheless, Rico Henry and Kevin Schade are not anticipated to play again this season, leaving Brentford without a large number of players due to injury. Talks about Ivan Toney’s possible departure have intensified, but he is also out of contention until his suspension is lifted in January.

It’s challenging to recommend a lineup that differs from the one Thomas Frank used against Chelsea, as they will undoubtedly fancy their chances this weekend against West Ham with the same squad.

    Brentford predicted lineup

Mark Flekken; Kristoffer Ajer, Ethan Pinnock, Nathan Collins; Mads Roerslev, Mathias Jensen, Christian Nørgaard, Vitaly Janelt, Aaron Hickey; Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa.
