Spurs ace tagged for January departure from Tottenham as another Premier League side makes stance

Richarlison linked with January departure from Tottenham as Everton transfer position clear

Only two Premier League goals have been scored by Richarlison since he moved from Everton to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to reports, Richarlison, the former striker for Everton, is drawing interest before the January transfer window opens.

In a deal that could have cost up to £60 million, the Brazil international left the Toffees for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2022. With 53 goals in 152 games, Richarlison was a beloved player at Goodison Park. He was crucial to Everton’s narrow escape from Premier League relegation in the 2021–2022 campaign.

But Richarlison has had difficulty since joining the Spurs. Only two goals in the league and five goals in 46 games across all competitions have he scored. Prior to deciding to have surgery for a shoulder injury that has been bothering him, the former Watford forward was behind Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson in the hierarchy.

The Telegraph claims that Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian team, was interested in signing Richarlison during the summer transfer window. Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, and Karim Benzema were all signed by a Saudi Pro League team earlier this year. Richarlison’s departure from Tottenham was previously forbidden, but it’s unclear if this will change now that Saudi clubs are “ready to test the water again.”

    Will Everton be interested?

If Richarlison is available again, Evertonians will undoubtedly be clamoring for his return. However, the unstable financial state has limited the amount of business the Toffees can operate in recent times and is predicted to do so once more in January.

As the takeover process with potential new owners 777 Partners continues, Dyche has already acknowledged that he does not anticipate having a sizable budget at his disposal when the transfer window reopens in about six weeks.

Throughout the summer, the Everton manager had to tread cautiously in the market as he parted ways with Demarai Gray and Alex Iwobi while working out payment arrangements with Udinese and Sporting CP for Beto and Youssef Chermiti, respectively.

Reporters were recently informed by Dyche that, “Kev (the director of football) and I talk about things, but we’re not talking about all the bigger picture stuff with the staff and recruitment department.” That will happen in the upcoming months.

“Let’s see.” Right now, the answer is yes (the budgetary situation will remain the same) if everything else is the same. It’s pretty clear, in my opinion, that not a significant amount of money has been involved. We have done well, in my opinion, in bringing in money for the team and then counterbalancing it with player acquisitions. We’ll wait and see, but it might be pretty much the same.”
