Major December Premier League boost for West Ham that many have missed, David Moyes will be elated

A head start has been offered to West Ham United for what promises to be an extremely hectic Premier League Christmas calendar in December.

Although the Premier League Christmas season may be incredibly cruel at times, it appears that West Ham is in a better position than most.

This season, some London Stadium supporters have been critical of Hammers coach David Moyes for the tedious football he continues to play, and Mohammed Kudus’s play has been one of our few bright spots over the last several months.

These days, though, it appears that we have another reason to celebrate the Premier League schedule, which is something we can all look forward to.

About our next run of games over the next month or so, David Moyes will be overjoyed about one thing in particular.

Compared to other Premier League teams, the Hammers have less miles to travel in December.

The only significant trip we have scheduled is to Anfield on December 20th to play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal.

We have three Premier League away games starting on Thursday night, and they are all London derbies against Tottenham, Fulham, and Arsenal, in that order.

In December, we play home games in the Europa League against Freiburg and the Premier League against Wolves and Manchester United.

The Hammers’ two home games in January are against Bristol City in the FA Cup and Brighton in the league, which comes before the two-week holiday break.

Less than any other Premier League team, we have just 10 miles of travel left before the end of the year (talkSPORT) to cover.

It is a great benefit for the East London outfit to have so little travel to cope with over the next four weeks or so.

The Premier League schedule that West Ham has in December will also make David Moyes very happy.

The lack of any kind of major travel should serve us really well during the lead up to Christmas, and during the aftermath of the festive period as well.
