“SUPPORT AND FUN”: Bills Fans Turn Snow Shoveling Into Winter Fun,

Fans of the Buffalo Bills are taking full advantage of the opportunity to shovel snow at Highmark Stadium.

The majority of people don’t particularly relish the opportunity to shovel snow, but Buffalo Bills supporters are, to put it mildly, built differently.

Due to a severe snowstorm that affected much of the country, the Bills’ playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was rescheduled from Sunday at 1 p.m.ET to Monday at 4:30 p.m. Prior to that, though, the Bills issued a call to fans offering $20 per hour in compensation as well as free food and breaks for helping remove snow from Highmark Stadium.

Because Erie County issued a travel ban during the worst of the storm, fans were unable to arrive at the stadium on Saturday night as planned. But when the ban was lifted on Sunday, throngs of fans turned out to enjoy themselves as well as remove snow.

In what may be the pinnacle of Bills Mafia’s infamous antics, a Buffalo fan took off his shirt in a video that went viral on social media before sliding down a snow-filled chute.

The fact that the man and his friends walked to the stadium in the bitter cold was also mentioned in the video’s caption, demonstrating the fervor with which Bills supporters support their team.

The weather on Monday won’t be much better, but the game will still go on as planned despite rumors that the NFL may postpone it once more. But for Bills Mafia, those circumstances only make their games more enjoyable to watch.

Bills OL Alec Anderson Helps Stranded Driver In Snow Storm

The Buffalo Bills playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers has been rescheduled for Monday due to a snowstorm in Western New York.
Alec Anderson, an offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills, hasn’t let a postponed playoff game stop him from working out; however, this time, it wasn’t on the field.
The second-year Bills player was observed on Sunday assisting a stranded motorist in Buffalo during a snowstorm. Ryan Van Demark, a fellow Bills lineman who was with Anderson, captured the kind deed on camera and shared it on Instagram.

Van Demark stated in the video, “Good samaritan Alec helping the people.”

The Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers were supposed to play on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium; however, bad weather forced a postponement of the game. Buffalo is located in Erie County, and on Saturday at 9 p.m., New York Governor Kathy Hochul imposed a travel ban. The game was moved to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET, but given the snowstorm, it’s still unclear if they’ll be able to play at that time.

If Buffalo prevails in the postponed game, it will have an impact on the following round. After playing on Saturday, Buffalo’s opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs, who would host if it wins on Monday, will have two more days off. The Miami Dolphins were defeated 26-7 by the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium’s GEHA Field.

The Baltimore Ravens, the top-seeded team, have a first-round bye. Should the Steelers win, they will play them.

Public safety is still the first priority, though. Buffalo will start its postseason push against Pittsburgh in the Wild Card round once the game can be played in weather safe enough for spectators to attend and not require a Bills offensive lineman to save them from a snowstorm.
