Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, has already experienced enough heartache on the football field to start the year. So this weekend, instead of attending the 2024 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, he’s getting ready for a more laid-back yet competitive environment on the golf course.
Allen is anticipated to skip the Pro Bowl Games in order to participate in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA Tour, according to reports from The Buffalo News. The Pebble Beach, California event kicks off on Thursday.
Allen, who enjoys playing golf a lot, will participate in the competition for the third time this offseason. He played alongside PGA professional golfer Keith Mitchell the previous season, finishing fourth behind the tournament winners, Ben Silverman and Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets.
In the regular season, Allen led the NFL in total yards (4,830) and touchdowns (44) as he was a finalist for the AP Most Valuable Players award. He completed the regular season with 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions on 385 of 579 passes. But Allen’s running stats—111 carries for 524 yards and a career-high 15 touchdowns—helped propel the Bills.
After the Eagles defeated the Chargers in Week 15, Allen also made NFL history by becoming the first player to record four straight seasons with 40 total touchdowns.
Allen has been named an MVP finalist three times now (2020, 2022, 2023).

“Funko Pop agreed to do a charitable thing when I spoke with them. It feels strange. The whole thing feels strange to have shirts and everything made because it was just something that kind of happened naturally. However, I think it makes sense that we have an agreement with Funko Pop and that later this week, we will release a shirt, with a portion of the sales going to the Patricia Allen Fund at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. After all, I believe you have to pay back the people who put you in this position.
Because of what they did to me and what we did to each other, that is the situation that arose. I understand that it was a little strange, but it felt right. I’m not sure why it happened. All I can say is that it felt like the right thing to do, but I’m not sure. Therefore, we will make amends with those who caused this.”

A wing at the hospital named after Patricia Allen, the grandmother of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, was unveiled by Oishei in October 2021.
Allen has a relationship with Oishei Children’s Hospital and has long been one of its supporters.
