Daniel Levy sent Joe Rodon Leeds United message as Tottenham chairman warned over deal

Leeds United are hoping to keep hold of Tottenham Hoptspur player Joe Rodon beyond this summer

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has been told to learn from past mistakes and accept a cut-price Leeds United made a trade for Joe Rodon. The Premier League signed the 26-year-old Welsh international defender from Swansea City three years ago for a fee of £15 million, and his contract with Spurs expires in the summer of 2025.

In that time, Rodon has made just 24 appearances for Spurs. This season, he is on loan at Leeds, where he and Etham Ampadu have established a strong central defensive partnership.Regardless of the division they play in, Leeds wants to hang onto Rodon for the rest of the season. However, Tottenham won’t hold Leeds hostage if they want to take advantage of Rodon’s strong play and recuperate the whole £15 million that was paid for him.

Now, a legal attorney has advised Levy that, even at a reduced price, it would be prudent to consider Leeds’ offer rather than risk making the same mistakes in the past with regard to player transactions. John Wenham, in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, stated that Spurs should concentrate on rebuilding their roster rather than attempting to extract a bit more cash from Leeds or any other team.

Whether Tottenham decides to sell will depend on whether Levy has learned from his previous blunders. Rodon this summer,” he stated. Do the Spurs really want to keep rebuilding, or do they want to push hard to try to negotiate a higher price for Rodon?

“I believe they should just accept any deal in this range and that they would be doing well to receive a fee of anywhere between £10 and 13 million.” This summer’s price is significantly more than what they would have received following Rodon’s disastrous loan stint at Stade Rennais F.C. in France last summer.
