MacIntyre said to GoVols247 that he will be spending Sunday and Monday in Tennessee. Five-star Class of 2025 wide receiver Jamie Ffrench, a former Alabama commitment from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, will also be present, he said on his X account on Thursday afternoon.

This week, MacIntyre is back in Knoxville, she posted. “@jaimeffrenchjr, a special visitor, will also be present.”

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Ffrench has been planning to visit Tennessee for the first time this spring. He told 247Sports’ Tom Loy last month that the Vols were scheduled to host him on April 8.

Ffrench is coming off a visit to LSU last weekend. He told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong after the visit that he has “set an official visit (to LSU) for the first weekend in May.”

Ohio State has received a pair of predictions for Ffrench on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Both picks have been made since last week, with the most recent prediction coming from 247Sports’ Tom Loy on Wednesday.

Ffrench is a five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where he’s ranked the No. 16 overall prospect and the No. 3 wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No. 3 junior from the state of Florida. According to 247Sports, he’s a four-star prospect who’s ranked the No. 30 overall player and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2025 class. 

Following the announcement of his decommitment from Alabama on January 14, following the retirement of former Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, Ffrench has emerged as one of Tennessee’s top wide receiver targets. Additionally, MacIntyre has devoted a lot of effort on Ffrench’s recruitment for the Vols. Specifically, MacIntyre stated in late February that he had been giving priority to Ffrench, four-star offensive tackle Juan Gaston, five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr., and two of his Tennessee Select 7-on-7 teammates, wide receiver Radarius Jackson of Memphis, Tenn., and four-star athlete Cameron Sparks of Chattanooga, Tenn.

At the time, MacIntyre stated, “Aside from the in-state kids, I would say I’m mostly focused on the offensive side of the ball.”

According to 247Sports’ official evaluation of Ffrench, written by director of scouting Andrew Ivins, the coveted receiver is “a skilled route-runner with superb body control and strong hands.”

“Measured roughly 6-foot-1, 175 pounds (during the) summer before 11th-grade year, but at times can play much bigger than the numbers suggest as he fights for positioning and secures the prize,” Ivins wrote of Ffrench. “Attention to detail allows him to separate underneath while agile feet allow him to keep defenders off-balance as (he) attacks the deeper parts of the field.

“Might not be a true burner, but owns respectable testing numbers for his age, and has shown that he can win his fair share of foot races. Does a favorable job of navigating his way through traffic and is the type of ball carrier that understands the value of just picking up the yardage that’s presented to him.

“Must keep progressing, and continue to soak in any and all coaching, but has what it takes to emerge as a go-to target at the Power Five level with his tools. Likely to offer some versatility to the wide receiver room of his choice as he could settle in as either an outside or inside receiver depending on how his body fills out. Overall polish could have him on the field early in collegiate career much like his older brother (Maurice Ffrench), who set some single-season records at Pittsburgh before making his way to the NFL.”
