The Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in the NFL when it comes to running the ball in for a touchdown at the line of one yard, or while gaining a crucial first down. The rationale behind this is the completion of a play dubbed “Tush Push.”
The offensive line basically shoves quarterback Jalen Hurts in order to score the touchdown or valuable yard(s) that the play requires in order to go on. Due to the play’s success, a lot of executives and coaches questioned if it could be considered “cheating.”
According to Adam Schefter, NFL President of Football Operations Troy Vincent disclosed whether or not the “Tush Push” would be prohibited on a conference call regarding impending rule change proposals.
According to the conference call from Troy Vincent the “Tush Push” would remain a legal play. Schefted indicated that Vincent said, “The Eagles, do it well.” As stated above, there is no other team that is better than the Eagles at this play.
