After a thrilling final match against the All Blacks, the Springboks became the first team in history to win four World Cup titles.
Over the year, some amazing sportsmen have represented South Africa, and the Springboks are without a doubt regarded as one of the best sports teams in the world.
Fullback Percy Montgomery is the most prolific scorer of points in Test cricket, having amassed 893 points in 102 matches.
One of the all-time great goal-kickers for the Springboks, Morne Steyn, who played 68 Tests and scored an incredible 742 points, is just behind him.
Notably, current Springbok flyhalf Handre Pollard is third on the all-time points scorers list, with 698 points to his name after 69 Tests. Considering he is only 30 years old and could play all the way through to the next World Cup, Pollard could feasibly surpass Montgomery.
OTHER NOTABLE POINTS SCORERS FOR THE SPRINGBOKS
Incredibly, the player who is fourth on the all times points scorers list is none other than Bryan Habana (335 points from 124 Tests). He reached this total after scoring a record 67 tries during his career.
Elton Jantjies is fifth on the list (331 Tests, 46 points), followed by legendary Naas Botha (312 points, 28 Tests) and Joel Stransky (240 points, 22 Tests).

The Springboks have already started laying the groundwork for a 13-Test season in 2024, which will mark the beginning of a new cycle of Rugby World Cups.
The management group has been confirmed for the season, and on June 22 at Twickenham, they will play their first game against Wales.
With the off-field issues being debated, Erasmus stated, “This is a watershed year for South African rugby and it’s our job to make sure that everything stays on track on the field.”
“I’m thrilled with the management and coaching group we’ve assembled and am eager to get back out there.”
