Man Utd stung with £30m Tottenham bid for outstanding star tipped to be accepted

Tottenham could snap up a Championship stand-out who Sir Jim Ratcliffe personally put forward as a transfer target at Manchester United, according to reports.

A lot of people predicted that Leicester City would win the Championship in the preseason. After winning 13 of their first 14 games in the second division, the Foxes quickly emerged from the pack. However, since the beginning of the year, Enzo Maresca’s team has been stuck.

Leicester is now battling it out with Leeds United, Ipswich Town, and Southampton for the automatic promotion spots in the league after a run of three victories, one tie, and six losses in their last ten games. Leicester are now in second place, with a narrow one-point lead over Leeds in third.

A fire sale at the King Power could occur if the online publication Football Insider is right about not winning promotion.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is one of the club’s most precious assets who may have to make way. This season, the 25-year-old has dominated the Championship and flourished in a more advanced midfield role.

Dewsbury-Hall has contributed 25 goals in 41 games so far, and 90min claims that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has personally suggested Dewsbury-Hall as a transfer target at Manchester United.

Ratcliffe declared after 90 minutes that he would not engage in negotiations. He has however informed his subordinates that he thinks Dewsbury-Hall can offer “value and versatility” at Old Trafford.

In January, Brighton’s lowball £20 million offer for Dewsbury-Hall was rejected.According to 90min, the Seagulls and Manchester United will both compete for his signature at the end of the season.

Leicester’s ability to profit is anticipated to be totally dependent on their ability to return to the top flight through promotion. If they don’t, Dewsbury-Hall will apparently be given permission to look into moving.

However, a recent report from Football Insider suggests that Dewsbury-Hall would wind up at Tottenham rather than Manchester United or Brighton.A lot of people predicted that Leicester City would win the Championship in the preseason. Tottenham could land Dewsbury-Hall as option No 2

Pete O’Rourke, their transfer specialist, disclosed that Leicester will have to cash in on a few of their best players in order to help balance the books.

Furthermore, even though Leicester values the player far higher, a Tottenham bid of just £30 million might be sufficient to complete a deal. The Foxes are reportedly worth £40 million, according to FI, however 90min put that amount at £45 million.

After failing to acquire Conor Gallagher in January, Spurs are rumored to be searching for a box-to-box midfield player.

The Chelsea player, whose future is at stake this summer, is still a target for Tottenham.

The Chelsea contract that Gallagher now holds ends at the end of the 2024–2025 campaign. Chelsea will approve a sale if new terms aren’t worked out by the summer in order to prevent losing a highly marketable asset for nothing.

Alternatively, Tottenham might make a bid for Dewsbury-Hall if Gallagher and Chelsea are able to come to an agreement on a new contract.
