CONFIRMED: Tottenham Receive Offer For “Out Of Favor” Player

Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

Because of his little playing time this season, the Argentine international is reportedly keen to depart the team this summer.

Despite playing mainly a supporting role, Lo Celso has put on some of his best performances while wearing a Tottenham shirt under Ange Postecoglou.

In James Maddison’s absence, he performed remarkably well, establishing himself as a crucial member of the manager’s squad. In his 17 league games thus far, he has contributed four goals—scoring two and setting up two.

The midfielder, however, has had yet another difficult season as a result of his hamstring and muscle-related issues, missing 11 games thus far.

Over the last two transfer windows, a number of European clubs have vyed for his signing, so he is not short on suitors.

Ex Tottenham scout believes club will accept Lo Celso offer

Atletico Madrid is the most recent team to show interest in him. That’s according to a recent story from the Spanish news source Fichajes, which states that Diego Simeone is eager to get Lo Celso into La Liga and that the Madrid-based team is prepared to make a €20 million “ridiculous offer.”

Furthermore, according to former Tottenham scout Bryan King, Daniel Levy would be happy to accept the offer.

In an interview with Toronto News, he said:

“Ange Postecoglou doesn’t seem to be a top pick for him, so it would make sense if they could sell the player for a high price.”

“Compared to North London, Lo Celso has a better chance of receiving consistent playing time with Atletico Madrid.”

“I believe Tottenham would accept that offer.”

“Knowing Levy, the deal will be completed if a strong offer is on the table and he can get some money back.”
