One of the leaders of the Curva Sud has published a strong statement on social media, calling for action from the management after yet another disappointing season for AC Milan.
The hopes of saving the season hinged on a strong showing in the Europa League after elimination from the Champions League at the group stage, the Coppa Italia in the quarterfinals, and the Scudetto race before Christmas.
Milan’s Europa League run came to an end in the quarterfinals when they were eliminated 3-1 overall after losing the second leg of their match against Roma 2-1. The Rossoneri lost at the Olimpico after a very poor effort at San Siro, falling behind 2-0 in just 22 minutes.
Following Milan’s Europa League loss to Roma, Luca Lucci, the leader of Milan’s Curva Sud, shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri season as he posted on Instagram.
“Hello, Mr. We eventually reach a point where our paths must inevitably diverge, and I believe that all of us Milanese fans have waited far too long! Still, I fervently want to remember you as the inventor of one of the most exquisite titles in Milan’s history!
“I’m not among those who blame the individual, as it’s evident to all that multiple parties share some of the guilt for a year such as this one!
“It most definitely cannot be a second place that pleases us and makes us proud of our Milan, because if the Champions League alibi of having faced an iron round is valid, then it must also be acknowledged that the Coppa Italia and the Europa League were achievable goals that we could strive for with great intensity.
All things considered, a change of coach is now necessary due to Milan’s lackluster play, confusion, inadequacy, and lack of preparation, especially in pivotal matches. Milan also needs a change of direction, fresh inspiration, and most importantly, to rediscover the game that has been missing for some time.
“This coming Monday is a derby that, following a lackluster season, with a title that has never been contested (by us, first and foremost), completely devoid of charm and won for months, will give the sh*** a special significance in the victory of their cardboard star.
“Although the game has been over for a while, there is no party to spoil or victory to stop. Not much will change for us because the Derby, cartoon or not, always has the highest significance. However, if the outcome will largely determine the humiliation they want to inflict upon us, then we must have the f***ing desire to win the derby that has been absent for far too long!
“Complete this season with the professionalism that all professionals should exhibit, but most importantly, today’s fans don’t have to wait for a response!”
