‘I fell in love with Tottenham’: £25m star says Spurs are his club after claims Ange Postecoglou wants him

A player who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur has just expressed his love for the club.

Since Fabio Paratici joined the team, Spurs have done a fantastic job of recruiting, haven’t they?

Long gone are players like Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, and Cristian Romero, although this season’s signings of Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, and Brennan Johnson are all showing to be great additions.

Tottenham has also made investments in extremely gifted young players, such as Lucas Bergvall, Ashley Phillips, and Luka Vuskovic, demonstrating its focus on the future.

For some time now, Tottenham has been keeping an eye on another gifted young player who has openly declared his passion for Spurs.

Tottenham target Alex Scott makes honest admission about Spurs

Since Ange Postecoglou became the team’s manager, Tottenham has been an incredible team to watch.

The days of Spurs playing terrible football and boring you to death are long gone. These days, they rank among the Premier League’s most fascinating teams.

Players find Tottenham to be incredibly appealing as a result, as seen by the fact that James Maddison agreed to join them.

Alex Scott is one player who has consistently supported the Spurs in both good and terrible times.

The 20-year-old, who was strongly linked to Tottenham throughout the summer, signed a £25 million contract to join Bournemouth in August (Guardian).

Due of Scott’s immense talent, Alasdair Gold disclosed a few months ago that Postecoglou’s team is still monitoring him and will continue to do so for years to come.

The young man has now once again shown his passion for the North London club, as he has done in the past.

During AwayDays, Scott responded, “My dad is a big Spurs fan,” when asked why he supports the team. Thus, I believe that’s the only source of it—my dad, for fact, is the only explanation. And that’s when, as a child, I fell in love with Tottenham. They are, therefore, my club.

He stated, “Yeah, I scored my first Premier League goal at Tottenham,” in reference to his game against the Spurs. That was absurd.

“I was a little sad that I didn’t start because I was also on the bench. After that, I entered the game, scored my first goal, and then another, but it was disallowed.

“I think it was just the perfect place to score my first-ever goal.”

The real reason why Tottenham did not sign Alex Scott

For months before to the start of the summer transfer season, Alex Scott was frequently linked to a switch to Tottenham.

Since the North Londoners needed a new midfield player, everyone agreed that Scott would have been a fantastic addition to the team.

But in the end, Spurs withdrew, and at the time, journalist Dean Jones disclosed the reasoning behind that choice.

The journalist speculated that because large clubs realized Scott “probably won’t be impacting their starting XI” right away, they were all turned off by his £25 million price tag.

Bournemouth ultimately acquired him because they were prepared to sign him and give him more playing time than Tottenham could have.

Since Scott has frequently expressed his affection for Tottenham, it won’t come as a huge surprise if he moves to North London in the future.
