Sir Rod Stewart in Celtic transfer plea as rocker swoons over ‘superb’ SPFL star

Sir Rod Stewart acknowledges that he is a huge fan of Luke McCowan of Dundee. Additionally, the Celtic-dumb rocker is hoping that Brendan Rodgers makes a move for the playmaker this summer.

With nine goals this season, McCowan, 26, leads the scoring charts at Dens Park. He has been an incredible player for the Dees. The former Ayr United winger was unexpectedly left off of the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, but legendary musician Sir Rod believes the Dark Blues hero has greater things in store.

This Saturday, when the league leaders visit Tayside, McCowan will be let loose against the Hoops, and Sir Rod thinks he ought to be on Celtic’s summer wanted list.

He said to Alan Brazil on talkSPORT Breakfast, “The thing is that we can’t take our foot off the pedal.” Dundee can provide an issue. McCowan, have you seen this little child? He is a Dundee player. Whoa. He’s amazing, maybe Celtic has their eye on him.”

Sir Rod watched the historic Scottish Cup semi-final matchup between Aberdeen and Hamilton last weekend from the stands at Hampden. The singer of Have I Told You Lately, accompanied by his kids Aiden and Alastair, witnessed the thrilling 3-3 tie between the two teams. Following a suspenseful penalty shootout, Celtics secured their spot in the championship game versus Rangers the following month.

The Scot went on, “They were excellent.” The Aberdeen fans deserved a little bit more than that, so I felt a little sad for them. They were excellent, and if they can maintain that level of play next season, they should be among the top four teams.”

The sensational Daizen Maeda return from injury rumour

if hearsay is to be trusted. According to reports, Brendan Rodgers told supporters that the player has returned to training following an incredible injury comeback.

The Japanese forward last played for the Rangers at Ibrox, when he scored and sustained a hamstring injury in a 3-3 loss. His season was bound to end sooner or later. But according to a rumor that surfaced on social media on Wednesday night, the winger might return to action as early as next week.

If Maeda could play in the Hearts game and the remaining four games, which include two potentially pivotal games against Rangers, before the season ends, that would be a great boost for Celtic.

Supporters shouldn’t be shocked if Maeda recovers from his injuries before he is expected to, as he has an unquestionably exceptional work ethic.

Maeda’s ferocity in the press, which causes defenders a great deal of trouble, makes Celtic a much better team.
