Man Utd and Tottenham target ‘makes final decision’ as Prem club informed

Tosin Adarabioyo is apparently considering his options and has decided on a “final decision” for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The former Manchester City player joined Fulham in 2020, but there have been rumors that he may leave Craven Cottage.

Having played in nearly 100 Premier League games, Adarabioyo is a seasoned defender in England’s top division. At the end of the current season, though, the 26-year-old appears certain to leave Fulham, with talk of moving up the table.

 

The expectation is that Adarabioyo will depart Fulham when his current contract with the west Londoners expires, according to Fabricio Romano. Despite rumors that he makes £47,000 a week, Adarabioyo is still without a new contract with Fulham.

According to reports, Fulham and Adarabioyo were deep in negotiations over a contract, with the Cottagers wanting to hold him on. But with just one month remaining in the 2023–24 campaign, Adarabioyo has made his final choice to leave the team.

He shouldn’t be short of options though, with Tottenham one of the teams having tracked him in the past. And Ange Postecoglou has admitted that he’s keen to strengthen Spurs’ defensive options during the summer transfer window.

Speaking in March, Postecoglou said: “I think it is an area of the park we will look to strengthen, but I think we’ll look to strengthen all areas of the park come the end of the season. That is planning that’s already underway, and other people are in charge of it at the moment.”

Adarabioyo might be the best choice for Tottenham given that Spurs or any other suitors won’t have to pay a large transfer fee. They will, however, probably face fierce competition from United, another team that is reportedly interested.

Furthermore, Adarabioyo would be a good fit for the type of player Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS group want at Old Trafford. Although Adarabioyo may not be an automatic starter for Erik ten Hag’s squad, Ratcliffe is reportedly fond of the fact that he is a homegrown talent.

As the new owners attempt to return United to the pinnacle of English and European football, reports from earlier in the season suggested that Ratcliffe and INEOS would give preference to homegrown talent. Ratcliffe reportedly wants the nucleus of the Red Devils to consist of British players, much like the legendary United teams of Sir Alex Ferguson’s era.
