Jamie O’Hara tells Ange Postecoglou to ‘get rid’ of £80,000-a-week Tottenham player, ‘he’s not good enough’
Jamie O’Hara has urged Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou to ‘get rid’ of one of his players following his performance in the North London Derby.
Spurs suffered a 3-2 defeat on Sunday, but it could’ve been considerably worse.
Postecoglou’s men were 3-0 down at half-time, and if Arsenal had really gone for the kill instead of making needless errors, the scoreline could’ve been a lot more humiliating.
Tottenham, however, deserve some praise for going for it in the second half, and if it was the old Arsenal, Mikel Arteta‘s men would’ve probably conceded another goal.
However, the Gunners are among the best teams in Europe right now, and Tottenham’s shortcomings in the first half just killed the game.
O’Hara, as you can imagine, was not happy at all with the result.
Jamie O’Hara makes strong claim about Tottenham’s Ben Davies
Just before the North London Derby, Tottenham suffered a devastating setback when they lost Destiny Udogie to a season-ending injury.
Ben Davies or Emerson Royal might have started at left back for Spurs, but Ange Postecoglou went with the Welshman.
Many had warned Davies that Bukayo Saka could cause him all kinds of issues prior to the game, and they were all right.
The Arsenal player doubled his team’s lead in the first half with a stunning strike, although it’s safe to say that Davies could have performed much better.
Jamie O’Hara, a commentator and supporter of Tottenham, expressed his utter displeasure with Davies’ defense after the goal.
Although he has stated that everyone, including Davies, was aware of Saka’s plan as he entered the area, his error allowed the Englishman to easily locate the bottom corner.
On talkSPORT last night, O’Hara said: “We go 2-0 down, Ben Davies, shouldn’t be playing left-back but has to play left-back, he’s not good enough. We need to get rid.
“Show Saka on his right, show him away from the goal. You let him come in and just put one in the bottom corner. You know what he’s going to do. You know he’s going to do that.”

Ange Postecoglou could make unsurprising Ben Davies decision soon
Tottenham‘s recruitment has been really, really good over the last year or two.
Over the past two seasons, the North Londoners have brought in successful players like Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, and Destiny Udogie.
The expectation is that Tottenham will bolster their defense once more this summer, and a left-back/center-of-defense player will be on the team’s wish list.
The career of Ben Davies at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would probably come to an end if Spurs were to sign a player of that caliber.
The Wales international, who earns £80,000 per week (Spotrac), has been a valuable member of the team, but it would be best for everyone if he moved on as he is no longer at the top of the hierarchy.
We anticipate that during the next summer transfer window, Ange Postecoglou will sell Davies. There have been rumors that Leeds United is trying to sign him.
