Kilmarnock has announced plans to pay tribute to Tommy Burns during their upcoming match against Celtic on Wednesday.
This remembrance falls on the anniversary of Burns’ cancer-related death on May 15, 2008.
Tommy Burns has had a significant influence as a manager and player, earning him respect at Celtic. Because of his moral qualities and commitment to the game, he earned respect not just from Celtic but also from the Scottish football community.
Kilmarnock’s homage comes after Celtic’s Green Brigade declared that there will be a special display to honor Burns during the game.
Attendees of the game should anticipate an emotional day as the teams and supporters pause to honor a man who was a popular character in Scottish football in addition to being a wonderful football player and coach.
With a victory that would ensure the Hoops’ third consecutive league championship, hopefully Celtic can pay tribute to Tommy Burns.
