Norwich City Sent Adam Idah Warning

Norwich City has been cautioned against sanctioning a permanent transfer of Adam Idah to Celtic, despite the striker’s impressive form in the Scottish Premiership.

Former footballer Carlton Palmer, speaking to Football League World, highlighted the predicament facing Norwich, particularly in light of Sydney van Hooijdonk’s return to Bologna and ongoing injury concerns with Josh Sargent. According to Palmer, these factors make it crucial for Norwich to retain Idah.

Palmer explained, “That presents them with a problem because they allowed Adam Idah to go on loan to Celtic, where he’s found his feet and his form.

“The problem is now, there was a deal agreed for him to go to Celtic, but I think that deal will hinge on whether Josh Sargent exits the club or not.

“If Josh Sargent exits the club, they cannot afford to lose Adam Idah, and I think Norwich would bring him back and hope that he can replicate the outstanding form he’s shown at Celtic.”

Adam Idah has found his form with the Premiership champions, and it was really thanks to his huge goals that Celtic lifted the league title on Saturday.

It’s believed that Celtic would have to fork out a fee upwards of £6 million for the player, with no option to buy included in the loan agreement.

As things stand, the Irishman will head back to Norwich after Celtic play the Scottish Cup final this weekend, which could see him leave Scotland with two winner’s medals.
