Question: Do you think Benny Hinn really believes he has special healing powers from god or is he knowingly trying to con people?
Answer: Show me a clip of someone with an amputated limb and how it regrew after Benny Hinn or any other faith healer laid their healing hands on them and said a few prayers and then we can talk about faith healing.
I am not psychic so I cannot state conclusively what Benny Gibb thinks or knows but the evidence or lack thereof strongly suggests that it is a scam. And if it is a scam then these faith healers know it is a scam.
How many failures has Benny had? We hear about his successes but not his failures. So we have no way to determine what his rate of success is and no way to compare this to the rate of cure without faith healing.
How many go into remission? How many don’t get better? And how many die that might have lived if they had sought professional medical assistance?
Some people get cured of illnesses through placebos so should we claim placebos heal?
If faith healers are knowing scamming people to get others to provide monetary support to their “ministries” they should be charged with fraud and put into jail. No plea bargain.
If someone dies after going to a faith healer, the faith healer should have his church shut down. None of this “it was God’s will” or “the person did not have strong enough faith”. If these faith healers will not provide data showing their success/failure rates then they are implying 100% success rate, in my opinion.
My brother, a Fundamentalist Christian, talked my Dad into faith healing for intestinal issues. The pain subsided for a while and my brother claimed success. It returned a month later. I talked him into going to a doctor and he was diagnosis with Colon Cancer.
Would that month have made a difference in how the cancer spread and eventually caused his death? I don’t know but the fact remains he missed a month of treatment.
My brother also had the same preacher attempt to cure the cancer. As stated above, my dad died. So 2 attempts and 2 failures. Yet, all my Dad heard from this guy was about his successes. Of course he provided no documentation of his successes.
I think Benny is a fraud and I think he is knowingly scamming people but I will repeat that I cannot claim to know what Benny knows or thinks.
