She passed away peacefully on Friday.
Legendary guitarist Slash has announced the heartbreaking news of the death of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight at the age of just 25.
The Guns N’ Roses star confirmed the tragic news in a post on Instagram.
A family statement read: “Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul. The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”
Fans and figures from across music and entertainment sent their love and support to Slash and his family.
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea commented: “Oh man, god bless.”
Musician Melissa Reese added: “There are no words. Sending absolutely all of my love and hugs and condolences and support to you guys.”
And model Susan Holmes wrote: “Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences. love you all so much.”
Lucy-Bleu was born to Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight in 1998. Slash, real name Saul Hudson, became part of her family when he reignited his relationship with Hodges in 2015, VT reports.
The pair had first met and dated in 1989, when Hodges was roommates with Erin Everly – the ex-wife of Slash’s Guns N’ Roses bandmate Axl Rose.
Lucy-Bleu had more than 35,000 followers on Instagram, where she often shared her talent as a tattoo artist.
