Amazing : Ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder identifies these two areas Nabi must reinforce

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has advised coach Nasreddine Nabi to find what he terms a “hard man” in midfield and a reliable goal scorer to take the team forward.

Nabi has experienced mixed fortunes during his stint at Chiefs with his side putting in some inconsistent performances to leave them seventh on the PSL table on 11 points, 10 behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

The problems at Chiefs were laid bare again last weekend when they blew away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Magesi FC in a performance that Nabi termed “lack of professionalism.”

Katsande wants to see leaders at Chiefs

Katsande agrees with Nabi’s assessment and feels some of those problems can be addressed by signing a proper midfielder and striker.

“They need a hard man in midfield and a striker. However, there is also a lack of leaders. You need people who can keep the heads cool,” Katsande told Radio 2000 as quoted by FARPost.

“I think Chiefs need at least four transfer windows under Nabi because there are some encouraging signs.

“I don’t think the coach was wrong to say there was a lack of professionalism. At least he didn’t single out certain departments. He spoke about the whole team and knows that they should have done better.”

Chiefs are reportedly in the market for a winger and a striker after failing to reinforce those two areas in the transfer window but Nabi might be forced to sign midfielders and defenders given what has been witnessed so far.

Katsande also feels the Chiefs coach needs at least four transfer windows to sort out the mess at the club.
