Betway Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly chasing a few targets, while also planning to produce another development product.
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to introduce a new right back named Sifiso Timba.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO PROMOTE SIFISO TIMBA?
With Reeve Frosler suspended, and Dillan Solomons injured, coach Nasreddine Nabi has realised a third right-back cover is needed. The club’s 19-year-old Timba from the DStv Diski Challenge is set to be given his dream opportunity with a promotion to the Amakhosi senior team.
“The club has promoted youngsters in other departments and now they f that Sifiso (Timba) could fit well in that right back position,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“You know there two main right backs in Reeve Frosler and Dillan Solomons and that’s why they want Timba to be their backup in that position and that is why he is set for promotion to the senior team.”
KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN TSHEPANG MOREMI
Moremi, who hails from the same area as Relebohile Mofokeng in Sharpville, Gauteng, has emerged as the favourite winger to join Kaizer Chiefs.
According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi are imaginng the reality of failing to win the race to sign the 23-year-old Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City, especially in the January transfer window.
Kaizer Chiefs are thus linked with AmaZulu’s 24-year-old winger Moremi as plan B.
“Things are looking tighter and tighter for Chiefs to sign Appollis January and that’s when they need him,” a source told the outlet.
“So, club management and technical team have looked at AmaZulu FC winger Tshepang Moremi as one that could be signed and he fits the bill if they can’t get Appollis.
“You know they were interested in him and inquired about him would like to make him a priority if they can’t sign Appollis. They are working on both fronts at the moment so that they are not caught off guard if they can’t get Appollis,” concluded the source.
