SPOTLIGHT: Stormers and Springbok flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu appeared as a guest at the cricket Test series between South Africa and Pakistan on Sunday where he spoke about his time with the Boks and provided some Champions Cup insight.
The World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year nominee spoke about what it’s like being a youngster in the Springbok team and how he adapted to stepping up to Test rugby.
“it’s a really fortunate position I am in to come into a setup where everything is run smoothly.
“Your team is winning and got excellent players around you.
“It makes a job like mine a lot easier especially as a young 22-year-old flyhalf.
“That is a job that requires age and experience.
“Ultimately it’s a platform given to me by all my teammates and coaches”
Feinberg-Mngomezulu spoke about the Champions Cup as a competition and what people can expect in the Stormers’ upcoming must-win clash against Sale Sharks.
“A lot of internationals on the field.
“It’s going to be a cracker.
“The games at the stadium [Cape Town] have become such a vibe.
“The crowd are doing their thing, on the field there’s amazing rugby happening.
“The Champions Cup is a nice way to watch rugby.
“It’s the best players involved with each team are fighting for a W [win].
“You can’t afford to lose a game in the Champions Cup as it’s high stakes.”
The 22-year-old shared his personal goals and his vision for the Springboks going forward.
“My main goal is to show people that it’s possible if you want something you can get it.
“From a rugby point of view, I want to make the country proud.
“I want us to bring as much silverware to this country whether I’m involved or not
