West Ham United are keen to make a quick profit on one player this summer it seems.
Graham Potter is said to be plotting a big squad revamp in the summer transfer window, and boy do West Ham need that.
After some really poor squad building at the London Stadium over the past few years, Potter has been left with quite the mess to clear up.
The Hammers squad is an ageing one, and some fresh blood is desperately needed in order for us to make some real progress.
However, we do have some talented younger players – some who have really impressed during various stages of their respective careers.
That doesn’t mean that they’re bulletproof from being sold though.
West Ham apparently could move on one of our most recent arrivals when the summer window swings open.
West Ham are looking to sell Jean-Clair Todibo this summer
The Frenchman has just returned to full training following an injury that has kept him out of action since January 4th.
‘ him back‘ Potter completely baffled Lopetegui let West Ham star leave
According to club insiders Claret and Hugh, the Hammers owners could look to activate their obligation to buy clause on Jean-Clair Todibo, before immediately selling him on for a quick profit.
Todibo joined the Hwantedammers on a loan deal from Nice in the summer, and we have an obligation to buy him for around €32 millionSky (£26 million) in the summer, according to Sports.
He reportedly to leave West Ham in January, with Juventus back in for him.
However, the 25-year-old remained at the London Stadium in the end.
His permanent future with West Ham is definitely far from certain though.
Cashing in on Jean-Clair Todiob a smart move from West Ham
Todibo is obviously a very talented footballer.
However, he’s far from the finished article.
And there are questions marks hanging over his head regarding whether he’s actually good enough to play Premier League football.
Todibo’s lack of physicality has really concerned me this season, and he has often been bullied by opposing strikers.
The Frenchman can be far too lackadaisical in possession at times, given the intensity and speed of the English game.
I believe West Ham should sell Jean-Clair Todibo in the summer if we can make a handsome profit on him.
That decision will be down to Graham Potter though. It remains to be see whether or not the Hammers head coach wants to keep him at the London Stadium.
