Tottenham are reportedly prepared to trigger Matheus Cunha’s release clause as they will face competition from Premier League rivals.

Tottenham are considering making a move for Matheus Cunha as they could trigger his release clause.
Wolves are likely to lose their main attacker in the summer despite holding on to him in January, with Spurs not alone in the race, as the Brazilan has many clubs chasing his signature.
Matheus Cunha was the subject of a move away from Wolves during the January window, as he had many top suitors willing to make a move.
Wolves were adamant about keeping him and even convinced the Brazilian to sign a new deal, which did come with a reasonable release clause.
The release clause reportedly stands at £62 million as per the report, which will be within range of some of the top Premier League sides. Arsenal, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest were eager to sign Cunha, but ultimately failed to make a move, as the Brazilian was reportedly keen to join the Gunners.
He has 18 goals and assists for Wolves this season, as the Midlands club are pinning their hopes to survive the Premier League season on his strong shoulders.
Meanwhile, Manchester United were also keen, and they are one of those ready to trigger his release clause in the summer. d

Triggering the release clause of the 18 G/A Brazilian is only the first step for Tottenham in their attempts to sign Cunha.
However, the big challenge would be to convince him to join them over others, as Spurs are in the market for a new striker, with names like Dusan Vlahovic linked.
In light of all the other potential suitors lining up to trigger Cunha’s release clause, he could probably place Spurs down in the pecking order if given the choice. Arsenal and Chelsea might come in a big way to sign the Brazilian, while Manchester United’s presence could be a spot of bother for Tottenham in the race.
