Pundit believes Tottenham striker is the most likely to leave the club

As we edge closer to the summer transfer window, Tottenham’s squad changes are also drawing nearer.

No matter how much Spurs supporters may want to keep certain players at the club, speculation continues to grow over potential departures.

One of the key names linked with an exit is South Korean captain Heung-Min Son, who has reportedly attracted interest from major clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and several Saudi Arabian teams.

Perhaps even more concerning for Spurs fans is defender Micky van de Ven, who was linked with Real Madrid just last week.

As if that weren’t enough, another forward’s future is now uncertain—Dominic Solanke.

Dominic Solanke could be on his way out of Spurs
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, TV commentator Ian Darke shared his thoughts, suggesting that Solanke is the most likely to leave the club.

“Tel looks like he’ll be at Tottenham permanently, and then there’s Danso; Brennan Johnson should stay,” Darke said.

“Solanke is one of the top four or five strikers in the Premier League and I’d say he will likely be a target when fit if they’re not in Europe; Micky van de Ven might have a lot of admirers and then there’s James Maddison too.”

Darke also explained that, given Solanke’s admirers, he could receive tempting offers if Tottenham fail to qualify for European competitions next season.

“I’m not sure if too many of them, based on this year’s form, have forced themselves onto the radar of many big clubs. I would lean towards Solanke having the most admirers.”

Report: Bayern Munich wanted to sell Mathys Tel in order to have cash for summer transfers

Bayern Munich could be eyeing up moves for the summer.

According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @MiaSanMia), Bayern Munich had a vested intertest in trying to sell Mathys Tel during the winter transfer window.

Specifically, Bayern Munich wanted a quick cash grab in order to set itself up to make a move or two this summer:

Bayern were ready to sell Mathys Tel to Tottenham for €60m in January in order to add much needed funds to their ‘fixed deposit account’ with a view to summer transfers. Hence they later agreed to a €60m option to buy (for Tel) with the hope Spurs would trigger it in the summer.

Tel’s future is up in the air at the moment. It seems as if Bayern Munich has already mentally moved on from the talented Frenchman, but the player might not be so sure that he permanently wants to leave Bavaria just yet.

A lot will be determined on how Tel enjoys his loan stay with Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of this season.

Looking for more thoughts and analysis on where Bayern Munich stands in its pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz? What about a case made for seeing more of Eric Dier and Josip Stanišić and also why we might not necessarily see Paul Wanner with Bayern Munich next season?
