Tottenham will be keen to move on to next season after a disappointing year under Ange Postecoglou, who has come under a lot of pressure this season.
Spurs sit 13th in the Premier League table, with their only remaining chance of silverware being in the Europa League. They are in the round of 16, and face a tie against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

In the summer, Postecoglou will want to add to his squad to provide more depth and quality, something that they have lacked this season amid their injury struggles.
Tottenham ‘favourites’ to sign Southampton star Tyler Dibling
Southampton look set to drop back down to the Championship next season as they are currently 13 points off safety and in danger of breaking Derby County’s record for the lowest points tally in a Premier League season (11 points).
It means that many of their top stars could likely leave the club in the summer, with one of those being winger Tyler Dibling, who has been a bright spark for the Saints this season. Tottenham have been linked to Dibling, who has made 23 Premier League appearances for the Saints this season.
According to the Boot Room, Dibling has told Southampton that he has no plans to sign a contract extension with his current deal at the club, which is due to expire in 2026. The report says that despite Southampton placing a £50 million price tag on Dibling,
Spurs are confident that they can sign him, and are now the favourites over the likes of West Ham.
Seeing as the winger will have just one year left on his contract in the summer, Tottenham would feel sure that they can negotiate a smaller fee for him, and they see him as a player for the future.
Dibling fits the mould of the type of player that Spurs want to sign to develop them, much like Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall who have both impressed under Postecoglou this season.
Tottenham linked to another winger
Dibling is not the only winger that Spurs have been linked to in recent weeks as Barcelona star Ferran Torres has also reportedly emerged as a transfer target. Torres can play on the right or the left, but can also feature up front much like Tottenham star Heung-Min Son, and he could become a replacement for the South Korean attacker, whose contract expires in June 2026.
Tottenham and Arsenal are reportedly ‘battling’ to sign the 25-year-old, who could be sold by Barcelona for a reported £33 million transfer fee. Torres has fallen slightly out of favour this season, making 29 appearances with 11 goals and three assists for Hansi Flick’s side.
Torres has previous Premier League experience as he spent two years at Manchester City after joining from Valencia in 2020.
He made 43 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists. The Spaniard was then sold to Barcelona for £46 million.
