Kaizer Chiefs sign the next ‘Ronwen Williams’ – Confirmed

Kaizer Chiefs may feel that they have just landed the next best thing – AmaKhosi might be right.

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly signed 17-year-old prodigy Takalani Mazhamba to a three-year deal.

After twenty-five years of Itumeleng Khune brilliance, AmaKhosi has faced unrest in between the sticks but seem to have found some stability in Bruce Bvuma, who could be out of the starting role next season as Chiefs continue to monitor goalkeepers, Young African number one, Djigui Diarra.

Mazhamba’s signing and the club’s persistence in looking for other ‘keepers is likely bad news for Fiarce Ntwari and Bontle Molefe. Both could be on the verge of being released or loaned.

    Goalkeeper inbound

The adolescent’s arrival comes after a solid season on the DDC circuit and is one to watch out for in the future.

A Siya source confirmed Kaizer Chiefs offer:

“They have been looking at different young goalkeepers but Mazhamba has stood out in recent times both in training with the senior team as well as in games for the DDC team where he has kept six clean sheets and the club is happy with that and that’s why they are offering him a three-year senior team contract,

“The technical team believes if given more game time in friendly games in the pre-season then he could compete at a higher level as well”

Another source revealed that “the team (Chiefs) is looking for an experienced goalkeeper but at the same time they may release two as they look to cut down players in the goalkeeping department,

“It’s believed that they are looking at Bontle Molefe and Fiacre Ntwari to be either loaned out or sold if chances be and promote Takalani (Mazhamba).”
