Tottenham to intensify efforts to sign Tyler Dibling
Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Southampton winger Tyler Dibling at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has done quite well in the Premier League with the Saints and he has been linked with multiple clubs recently. Journalist Florian Plettenberg claimed in January that the player is wanted by ‘half of Europe’.
Meanwhile, a report from Give Me Sport claims that Tottenham are set to intensify their efforts to sign the 19-year-old. They are hoping to beat Manchester United to his signature. The player is reportedly valued at around £55 million, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are ready to pay up.
There is no doubt that they need more quality and depth in the attacking unit and the 19-year-old could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition. He is highly rated across Europe and he has been labelled as a “special” player.
Tyler Dibling is a tremendous prospect
The 19-year-old will only improve with coaching and experience, and he could develop into a top class Premier League attacker. He has shown his quality with Southampton this season, despite their struggles as a team. Dibling has four goals and two assists to his name in all competitions.
Naturally, he is a right-sided winger, but he is versatile enough to operate on either flank. He could be an asset for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. They will need to replace players like Timo Werner, who is set to leave the club in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United need replacements for players like Antony and Jadon Sancho, who are expected to be sold permanently in the summer. They need more quality in the wide areas, and the Southampton prodigy would be the ideal long-term investment for them.
