He is rated highly at the club and is expected to follow in the footsteps of his brother Archie Gray and make his debut for the club in the near future.

However, Harry can’t sign a professional contract until he turns 17 in October and Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham are said to be keen on getting their hands on him in the summer.

Harry’s goalscoring ability is available for all to see in youth football and it has naturally attracted the interest of some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Leeds are banking on the Gray family’s illustrious history at the club to keep hold of the forward but Don Goodman indicated that might not be enough in this day and age.

The former attacker insisted that it is no surprise bigger clubs are looking at Harry who has been tipped to be even better than Archie who joined Tottenham last summer.

He stressed if Leeds want to keep the youngster satisfied he must be made to feel valued at the club and should be given his first-team debut as soon as possible.

“This is the modern world we live in now when, even though you haven’t made a first-team appearance and made your league debut, if you’re at a club in the Championship that are as big as Leeds United are, then vultures will have eyes on the best talents you’re producing”, Don Goodman told the Football League World.

“With Harry Gray, I have heard spectacular things about him on the grapevine, and I’ve been told he’s even better than his older brother Archie, which is exciting, but really important that Leeds try and keep him at the football club and give him an opportunity at the earliest possible convenience.”

Archie’s decision to leave Leeds last summer was not taken lightly and the Gray family are expected to be as careful with Harry’s future as well.

Their history at Leeds suggests they are unlikely to uproot Harry from the club at this stage of his career, especially when he is still waiting for his senior debut.

Moving to a Premier League is a temptation for any youngster but Leeds could solve that problem by getting promoted at the end of the season.

Tottenham’s interest in Harry is an issue as it allows him to reunite with Archie but the Whites should hope the younger Gray would sign his first professional contract at Elland Road.
