🚨 From Fired to Wanted: Premier League Club Eyes Ange Postecoglou After Spurs Exit

Just days after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postecoglou may already have a new lifeline in the Premier League.

Despite overseeing a historically bad domestic campaign — finishing 17th with 22 losses — Postecoglou left North London with silverware, ending Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought by winning the UEFA Europa League in his second season. That bittersweet exit may have cost him his job, but it’s also opened doors elsewhere.

According to a report from the Daily Mail (8 June), another Premier League club is already targeting the Australian manager, impressed by his European success and unwavering tactical commitment.

Spurs Season: A Tale of Two Extremes

Tottenham’s 2024/25 Premier League season was nothing short of disastrous. The club narrowly avoided relegation with just 38 points, marking one of their worst finishes in the modern era. Yet paradoxically, Postecoglou guided them to continental glory in the Europa League — a feat no Spurs manager has achieved in nearly two decades.

    > “He brought us a trophy. That’s something no one else has done in 17 years,” one fan commented on social media. “It hurts seeing him leave.”

    More Than Just a Manager

Postecoglou’s departure is part of a major overhaul underway at Tottenham. Executive Director Donna-Maria Cullen has stepped down, while former player and assistant Ryan Mason has taken the managerial job at West Brom.

Postecoglou’s entire backroom team — including Nick Montgomery, Mile Jedinak, and Sergio Raimundo — were also dismissed. Only Matt Wells and goalkeeping coach Rob Burch remain.

Tottenham even made changes to their women’s team, sacking Robert Vilahamn after a disappointing 11th-place finish in the Women’s Super League.

With more staff changes expected soon, Spurs could be almost unrecognizable by the time the 2025/26 season kicks off.

    What’s Next for Ange?

Though his Spurs chapter ended on a sour note, Ange Postecoglou’s reputation remains intact, especially among clubs seeking a manager who can deliver results under pressure — and maybe even a trophy or two.

Should he take the helm at another Premier League side soon, it won’t just be Tottenham fans watching closely it’ll be the entire league.
