According to reports on Friday, Dallas has gotten “frustrated” with the way All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons has been acting. Shortly after the Parson’s allegations started to circulate, veteran Dallas wideout Dez Bryant expressed that belief on his own Twitter feed, also known as X.
Former Dallas Cowboys megastar Dez Bryant did not hide his belief that he thinks that his old club is trying to devalue Micah Parson as the star defender approaches the end of his rookie contract. Bryant replied on Twitter to a post suggesting Parson’s behavior has become a problem within the organization, saying, “Aw (expletive) I know how this goes SMFH. (Micah Parsons) this what happens whenever it’s time to get paid…”
Bryant continued, replying to fellow Twitter users responding to his original post. Bryant states that these potential false accusations only happen to a ‘certain type’ and that he won’t receive a lengthy contract extension without his name being ‘smeared.’
Bryant was the 24th pick in the 2010 NFL draft. He spent eight seasons with the Cowboys, earning three Pro Bowl nods and appearing on the All-Pro team in 2014. He eclipsed 1,200 receiving yards three times while leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns once. Bryant was labeled a locker room multiple times during his playing career.
One of the NFL’s top pass rushers when on the field is Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys. In 17 games, the third-year pro recorded 64 tackles, 18 TFLs, and 14 sacks. During his career, Parsons was named to two first-team All-Pro teams and was the 2021 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
But in the only postseason game his team played, a rout against the Green Bay Packers, Parsons had a rough outing. While Green Bay gained 415 yards and had no turnovers, he only managed two tackles and no sacks or TFLs. After the defeat, Parsons came under fire for turning down media requests.
