Tottenham player was involved in a heated altercation at full-time; had to be seperated

Tottenham Hotspur lost 4-0 at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon in their Premier League match against Newcastle United, a crushing setback.

Spurs’ loss was especially unfortunate because it knocked them out of the top four spots in the Premier League.

The Lilywhites dropped to fifth position despite having the same amount of points as Aston Villa because of a notable change in their goal differential.

The North London team gave up two goals in a short period of time in the first half, with goals coming from Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak for the home team.

Summer signing for Tottenham Despite his impressive rookie season, Micky van de Ven had a disappointing first half, receiving criticism from both fans and analysts for slipping at key situations in both goals.

After the break, Spurs’ afternoon took a turn for the worst as Newcastle’s constant pressure paid off, as the Magpies scored two more goals in the second half.

What happened between Lo Celso and Bruno Guimaraes

After the match ended, tensions rose as Spurs midfielder Giovani Lo Celso got into a confrontation with Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes.

According to reports from Craig Hope on his official social media account on X, the altercation escalated to the point where Guimaraes had to be separated by his teammates and staff to prevent further escalation.

The Brazilian midfielder reminded Lo Celso of the scoreline by gesturing with four fingers to indicate the 4-0 defeat.

Ange Postecoglou’s side needs to regroup for the remaining half-dozen games of the season to finish strong and secure the coveted Champions League spot.
