Tottenham willing to listen to offers for 23-year-old after just six appearances with the club
Tottenham are ready to part ways with Djed Spence ahead of next season.
In the forthcoming summer transfer window, the North London club is anticipated to support Ange Postecoglou due to his outstanding start to the team. They intend to unload players who are surplus to requirements in addition to looking to buy other players to bolster the Australian manager’s team.
Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider reports that Djed Spence is one of the players who will be shown the exit door in the summer. The 23-year-old’s transfer to the English powerhouses hasn’t quite gone as expected.
During the summer of 2022, Tottenham signed him following his remarkable progress at Middlesbrough.
The full-back has had several loan stints and has only appeared in six games for the North London outfit since signing. He hasn’t shown worthy of a spot in Postecoglou’s team. Over the previous 18 months, the 23-year-old has been on loan at three different clubs.
Spence is presently on loan at Genoa, where he has made 10 appearances and performed admirably. Whether or if they choose to exercise the buy option in his deal will be intriguing to watch.
Although his contract with his original club expires in 2027, he is still anticipated to return there in the summer, and it appears they are open to receiving offers for his services. The 23-year-old needs to go so that the North London team can generate money and create room for a new recruit.
