Revealed: Five senior Tottenham stars set to leave
Tottenham are set for a major rebuild this summer, with plenty of movement expected in terms of incomings and outgoings.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are currently chasing Champions League football, but the manager will already have an eye on the transfer window.
Football Insider has spoken to senior sources and analyses five senior stars who are likely to exit the north London club this summer.
Tanguy Ndombele (27)
Midfielder Ndombele, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, is a long way from the player Spurs shattered their transfer record to get from Lyon in 2019.
The 27-year-old is dealing with a double blow as his parent club intends to let him go this summer, and insiders have informed Football Insider that the Turkish club does not want to make his loan agreement permanent.
Despite having a contract that extends until the summer of 2025, we have been informed that Ndombele is not anticipated to don the Spurs uniform ever more.
Giovani Lo Celso (28)
Fellow midfielder Lo Celso is another who looks set to depart at the end of the season, with sources telling Football Insider that Spurs expect to receive multiple offers for him in the upcoming window.
The 28-year-old has struggled to break into the team under Postecoglou lately, and has largely failed to impress when given the chance.
Bryan Gil (23)
Spanish winger Gil is another veteran Spurs player who has performed poorly lately. Postecoglou has once again failed to give the player many opportunities to flourish in white.
Although the 23-year-old has made 42 appearances for the team without scoring, his position is comprehensible, and insiders have told Football Insider that Spurs would not consider offers for him this summer.
Gil will probably go for good if the proper offer comes along, and it’s not thought that he has a lot riding on him.
Sergio Reguilon (27)
Reguilon, a 27-year-old left back who is making an impression on loan at Brentford, is currently making his living outside of North London.
A return to Spurs at the conclusion of the season is becoming less likely given that this is his second loan stay of the year and that he previously played for Manchester United. Sources tell Football Insider that the defender may be moved on to make room for new players.
Joe Rodon (26)
Center back Rodon, who has been a regular for Leeds United under Daniel Farke, is another loan defender making an impression away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 26-year-old Wales international is giving it his all to help the Whites win back the Premier League, and Football Insider has learned that Spurs are prepared to approve a long-term transfer this summer.
