Reports overnight claim David Sullivan and Tim Steidten have found a new West Ham boss they both agree on and it’s great news.
There is no doubt that West Ham has conducted a thorough search for a new manager, or at least a “possible” one to take David Moyes’ place.
Since it is likely that they will split ways with the Scot next month, the Hammers have cast a wide net.
With a major overhaul required this summer following four and a half years of stability, co-owners David Sullivan and Tim Steidten must make the correct decisions.
Since the concealment at Crystal Palace, the Hammers have been associated with no fewer than fourteen different managers.
Journalist Graeme Bailey discussed the matter with Hammers News yesterday.

He affirmed that Sullivan and Steidten’s “shortlist” does, in fact, include at least twelve names.
Bailey further disclosed that the majority owner is under intense pressure from two agents to name Julien Lopetegui. Most importantly, though, is that Sullivan is refusing to back down.
Yesterday, we also covered a significant assertion made by reporter Ben Jacobs on Paulo Fonseca’s inclusion on that list.
The news that Sullivan wishes to appoint Lopetegui has left West Ham fans unimpressed, so that came as a comfort.
This week, rumors that Steidten wants Fonseca or Amorim and Sullivan wants Lopetegui have raised concerns.
But something good has come from France this last night.
It’s wonderful news that Sullivan and Steidten have finally identified a new West Ham manager that they can both get behind.

Foot Mercato claim the Hammers duo both agree on Fonseca, who is about to lead Lille into the Champions League.
And they are now seriously considering appointing the Portuguese boss, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
“West Ham United are seriously considering replacing David Moyes at the end of the season and David Sullivan and Tim Steidten are strong admirers of Fonseca,” the report states.
“Whilst the former AS Roma coach remains fully focused on securing Lille’s place in next season’s Champions League, there is a good chance he will leave at the end of the current campaign.”
Hiring Fonseca would be a much more palatable appointment among supporters than Lopetegui.
Fonseca much more in tune with what fans want
Fans of West Ham have been clamoring for Fonseca because he is an attack-oriented coach.
Additionally, he has made it quite evident via his words and deeds that he strongly believes in giving young people an opportunity.
Hammers supporters believe that during his time, Moyes has only made lip service to developing potential academy talents.
It’s also important to take advantage of the club’s exciting new crop of potential.
This season in Ligue 1, seven of Fonseca’s most used players are under 25. With academy graduate Lucas Chevalier, 22, in goal; 18-year-old Leny Yoro, center defense; and 23-year-old Angel Gomes, central midfield, he also plays them in important places.
A profile on the top emerging football managers published by The Athletic last month included Fonseca.
After hearing this news from France overnight, West Ham supporters will be even more impressed by what he had to say about his mindset.
“I never think about the outcome alone. Earlier this year, Fonseca stated, “It’s about the process.”
“I want to make something that makes the game more enjoyable for you. And you must play in an attacking manner in order to accomplish that. You must make an effort to outmaneuver the opposition and generate more opportunities.
