‘Conceivable’ that Tottenham will simply pay fee and get deal done – Seen as ‘bargain’ for Spurs
The German media is now speculating about Timo Werner’s future as he is no longer anticipated to feature for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The center-forward is currently on loan from RB Leipzig to Spurs until June. If he meets the €17 million contract requirement, the transfer might become permanent.
Werner’s sudden thigh injury stopped him, and Bild wrote about it today, emphasizing his “astonishment.”
Regarding the possibility of a long-term transfer, the outlet states that although things are “unclear,” it’s “conceivable” that Tottenham will purchase him.
The story emphasizes that Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Spurs, recently lauded Werner and notes that it would be a “bargain” for them to acquire him in the summer.
In his 14 appearances for Tottenham, Werner has contributed three assists and two goals since joining the team during the January transfer window.
Although the forward hasn’t assisted on a goal in a few weeks, it could not be a terrible idea to ensure his continued inclusion in the team considering that he has adjusted well and would only require that nominal sum.
