‘Betrayal’: Celtic man to make shocking move to Rangers

The Union Bears proudly displayed ‘stolen’ Green Brigade banners today ahead of next weekend’s Glasgow derby.

The Rangers ultras taunted their Celtic rivals during today’s win over Kilmarnock with a display that had seemingly commandeered. The signs had previously been displayed by the Hoops group at a game and took aim at Gers boss Philippe Clement over his claim his side were the ‘moral champions’ of the last derby which ended in a 3-3 draw and also branded the Ibrox men ‘serial losers’.

They rearranged it so that this time it read ‘Green Brigade. Serial losers of banners’. While another part of the banner was on display upside down. A picture of the display was posted by a casual ultras page on X and they wrote: “Union Bears (Rangers) with stolen Green Brigade (Celtic) banners for the derby next week.

Some Hoops fans appeared to doubt the theory they had actually been stolen.

One wrote: “Hahahaha they made fake banners, pretending to have stolen banners.”

Before unveiling those banners, Rangers fans had another one which read: “All in blue to Hampden” and another which said “Glasgow is Blue.”

‘Messed up’: Chris Sutton rains criticism on Celtic star despite 3-0 win over Hearts

Five words- Chris Sutton reacts to huge Celtic victory

At the other end of the park Kyogo Furuhashi demonstrated his quality and appetite for the big occasion with two clinical finishes in the first 25 minutes, a period in which Hearts had as much possession as the hosts.

The third goal remained elusive until the 87th minute but that ensured that Celtic remained in top gear as they pushed and pressed for the goal to finally kill off any prospect of a comeback from Hearts.

Sutton will be ringside next Saturday for the Glasgow Derby, since the turn of the year there have been times that the title has looked like slipping away but a victory this time next week will put Celtic at least six points clear with two matches left to play.

Tomorrow Sky Sports will be at Ibrox for the visit of Kilmarnock with Sutton expected to be looking on as the pressure switches on to Phil Clement and his squad.

Kris Boyd wasn’t cracking many jokes as he kept an eye on the SPFL goals from the Sky Sports News studio this afternoon.

The former Scotland striker has tried to style himself on Ally McCoist with a laugh and gag for everything but like the former Question of Sport skipper the hurt of Celtic being successful cuts deep.

Since the turn of the year the Clement Revolution! has given Boyd hope of rolling into Celtic Park for the final Glasgow Derby smiling from ear to ear but over the last month the SPFL has returned to a familiar and depressing script.
