Zaha reps jet into London for West Ham transfer talks this week

Wilfried Zaha’s representatives have flown into London this week to hold talks with West Ham about a summer transfer, according to Knees Up Mother Brown.

Writing on their website (8 May), the news outlet report that the 31-year-old winger is a key target for expected new manager Julen Lopetegui this summer.

And the club held talks with his agents on Monday, with the outlet reporting that no other club spoke with them during their two-day stay in the capital.

Julen Lopetegui to make Zaha his first West Ham United signing?

Zaha didn’t actually leave London until the summer of last year, when he signed a free transfer to join Galatasaray, his childhood club. He has since excelled in Turkey as well.

He has adjusted well, scoring 10 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions, and he also experienced the Champions League during his time there.

However, his skill set is unquestionably more appropriate for the Premier League, and he will probably want to go back to the league where he first gained recognition after losing his starting position.

Although David Moyes passed up the opportunity to sign him in the summer of last year, there is no denying his talent, and not too long ago, Ally McCoist called his performances “simply exceptional.”

This may be the perfect beginning to the new era at the London Stadium because Lopetegui loves a straight winger and Zaha would offer additional depth to the squad, which is currently lacking options in attack.
