TMW: Milan looking into cut-price deal for Sassuolo star after relegation
AC Milan are on the hunt for a new striker to come in and lead the line from next season onwards and Andrea Pinamonti has emerged as an idea, a report claims.
Milan is reportedly considering Pinamonti as a summertime alternative, per TMW’s report. The Sassuolo striker is undoubtedly not the management’s first pick, but if Luka Jovic decides not to extend his contract, he might present a chance to seize.
Milan is keeping a careful eye on Sassuolo’s relegation to Serie B because they know that big stars will probably go for less money than they could have if they had remained in the top division.
At nearly €2 million net a season, Pinamonti’s wage would make the Rossoneri one of the few Italian teams that can afford it. Expected to leave the building with Domenico Berardi and Armand Laurienté, the 25-year-old scored 11 goals in Serie A this season.
Olivier Giroud’s departure to Los Angeles FC has left Milan searching for a replacement for the No. 9 shirt and starting spot; nonetheless, Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna is still the team’s top pick.
